Lindsay Lohan’s mother is keen for her to clean her house to help her “move forward”.
The 23-year-old actress has opened up to US journalist Niecy Nash in a two-part interview, in which she revealed she has a problem with hoarding. Lindsay invited cameras into her Los Angeles home, which was packed to the rafters with clothes, shoes, accessories and clutter. There was no space to sit down in the property, and Lindsay admitted she needed to do something about it.
“She’s growing up and she’s been though a lot. She’s trying to move forward,” Lindsay’s mother Dina explained. “My father used to say a dishevelled room leads to a dishevelled mind. We’re donating a lot of it to charity. Some of it will go on our website lohanhouse.com.”Dina claims the property has become cluttered because Lindsay has been working hard and has had little time to clean up. She also explained many of the things in the property are gifts Lindsay has been given by fashion labels, which only add to the problem. “A lot if it is gifted so it’s not necessarily stuff she buys. Like, a company will send five pairs of jeans. So we’re going to donate items like that,” she said.
Lindsay acknowledged she has a problem with tidiness in the interview, explaining it is something she is keen to deal with as soon as possible.
“This is my home, I just want to be much more serene in here and clear,” she said. “If everything is in its place then I will be able to breathe.”
Meanwhile, claims Lindsay has reunited with her ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson seem to be wide of the mark. It had been claimed they partied together earlier this week, but new reports suggest they were simply sharing a ride home as they live in the same block of apartments.
