Lindsay Lohan has a get-out-of-jail ace up her sleeve: she’s hired O.J. Simpson lawyer Robert Shapiro, according to TMZ.

Shapiro’s plan is not to appeal Lohan’s 90-day jail sentence — which is supposed to begin Tuesday — according to the gossip site’s sources. Instead, he will try to convince Judge Marsha Revel to put Lohan in a rehab facility and either eliminate or minimize her jail time.

Shapiro’s son died of a drug overdose in 2005, and he plans to present a specific plan for Lohan to the judge, TMZ says. He created his own foundation to help people deal with drug and alcohol problems, named after his son, the Brent Shapiro Foundation, which runs a live-in rehab facility. But Lohans’ 90-day jail sentence for violating probation in two 2007 drunken driving cases already comes attached to a 90-day in-patient substance abuse program.
